At Dental Specialists of Connecticut, we’re dedicated to providing expert care to enhance your oral health. We understand that your comfort and well-being are of utmost importance, and we’re here to address your concerns, answer your questions, and assist with scheduling appointments.

Your initial appointment consists of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be done on the same day. However, more often, the process requires an evaluation and a second appointment to complete the procedure.

To get you in and out quickly, please bring along the following at the time of your consultation:

  • Your referral slip and any x-rays, if applicable.
  • A list of medications you are taking.
  • If you have dental insurance, please bring your dental insurance card or plan information, including your insurance ID number.  This saves time and allows us to help you process claims faster.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.), or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e., antibiotics, for pre-med).

X-RAYS: If your previous dentist has taken x-rays (within 3 months), you can request them to be forwarded to our office. You always have the option of bringing them to our office. If additional films are necessary, we can take them here.

To schedule an appointment, please call our office directly. Our team will work with you to find a time that best fits your schedule. For emergencies, we prioritize immediate care. If you experience severe discomfort, swelling, or other urgent dental issues, please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to see you promptly.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express for your convenience. Payment is typically expected at the time of service unless prior arrangements are made. If you have any questions regarding your payment options, feel free to reach out, and our team will be happy to help clarify.

Our team is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. We accept a range of insurance plans and stay updated on policy changes to best serve you. While we handle the paperwork with your insurance provider, any remaining balance after insurance processing is your responsibility. Please bring your insurance details to your first appointment, and if you have questions about specific coverage, our insurance specialists are available to assist.
